CITY ELECTIONS: Complete list of candidates in September 23 runoffs

Action 8 News has this complete list of candidates running in the September 23 city runoffs from across our area.

These runoffs are necessary because no candidate received a majority of votes the last time the voters went to the polls on August 26. The top two finishers are the ones who will face off in the runoffs to decide a winner.

The city elections are non-partisan, which means candidates don’t run as a Democrat or Republican

Not every town will have a runoff on September 23. Many races were decided last month. In addition, Montgomery and Auburn don’t hold city elections this year. Auburn holds its city elections in 2026, and Montgomery’s elections are in 2027.

Polls will be open from 7AM until 7PM on September 23. Action 8 News will have results on TV, on our website and mobile app.
