8 ON YOUR SIDE: A national retailer that once had a store in Montgomery is making a comeback.

Bed, Bath & Beyond will be returning to shopping centers nationwide.

You may remember the store at EastChase in Montgomery, which closed in 2023 when the chain filed for bankruptcy and went out of business.

Since then, it has been reborn, and this week, it bought out Kirkland’s for $10 million, which also has a store at EastChase.

The plan is to convert all Kirkland’s into Bed, Bath & Beyond locations in the next two years, while closing a handful of locations.

We don’t know when that will happen in Montgomery, but six stores around Nashville, Tennessee, will be the first to open.
