Pay It Forward: Dwayne Richardson of Montgomery

Dwayne Richardson wears many hats from cleaning up his neighborhood by mowing the grass and landscaping to being the “go to” handyman.

His nominator Larry Peterson read a letter of appreciation.

“A man whose unwavering commitment to our community has made him a respected and beloved figure. Mr. Richardson is the embodiment of versatility and reliability much like a Swiss army knife. Whether leading initiatives from the front or quietly supporting efforts behind the scenes, his presence is both impactful and reassuring,” said Peterson.

Not only that, Richardson helps to mentor the youth in the community.
And offers them employment opportunities by allowing them to work alongside him on community projects.

For Richardson, paying it forward is something he learned growing up.

“I was brought up like that. My grandparents down in Monroe County. Country folks always give back to one another. You come there, you gotta get some food to take with you, and so it was engrained in me like that. We need more people to help each other out,” said Richardson.
