Georgia woman dies in Macon County crash

A woman from Georgia has died after a two-vehicle crash in Macon County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
The crash happened just before 1 p.m. Wednesday on U.S. 80, around 10 miles east of Tuskegee in Macon County.
According to ALEA, 59-year old Sarah Holiday of Warm Springs, Georgia was injured when the 2020 Nissan Kicks she was driving collided with a Dodge pickup truck.
Holiday was not using a seatbelt at the time of the crash and died at the scene.
ALEA says the driver of the pickup truck, 50-year-old Justin Hagler of Opelika, was also injured and taken to the Piedmont Regional Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia for further treatment.
Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigation.
