ACTION 8 UPDATE: Opelika police make third arrest in home invasion

ACTION 8 UPDATE: Opelika Police have arrested a third suspect in a home invasion investigation.

As Action 8 News has reported, police say the home invasion happened August 26 on Pepperell Parkway.

Today, they arrested 19-year-old Terrel Marquese Goods of Smiths Station and charged him with two counts of first-degree robbery and one count of first-degree burglary.

Police say the victims of the home invasion reported that two masked people with guns entered their home and demanded money and cellphones before fleeing.

Goods was identified as the second armed suspect, along with 21-year-old Darrion Tyshawn Hearns of Opelika, who was arrested on August 28.

Police say additional evidence linked 23-year-old Tamira Shamia Simmons of Opelika as an indirect participant in the robbery. She was arrested on September 2.
