Pay It Forward: Melodie Trammell of Montgomery

Melodie Trammell works fulltime at the Cancer Wellness Foundation of Central Alabama helping cancer patients get the care they need.

“I have seen her research patients,” said her nominator Carol Gunter. “She does a lot of things for some of our patients and she does as a courtesy. But also she has found ways to make things easier. She definitely goes above and beyond for the patients.”

And not only that, Trammell has two other jobs. One at the Family Sunshine Center helping domestic violence victims, and she also tutors kids.
Her co-workers know they can count on her.

“She’s just always doing for others. She always puts other people first, always checking in on everybody, making sure everybody has everything they need, and she’s just so selfless. So I wanted to do this for her because she does for everybody else,” said Gunter.

And Trammell encourages others to do the same.

“Yes, absolutely. I want to encourage other people. We’re all one community. We’re all here together, so if we are able to help, might as well help,” said Trammell.
