Man injured in shooting at Brundidge convenience store

Brundidge Police are searching for the person who shot a man at a convenience store.

Police say the shooting happened yesterday at a store in the 7000 block of U.S. Highway 231. They say the gunfire was the result of an argument between two men.

Police say 28-year-old Hykeem Turner of Brundidge was shot and taken to Troy Regional Medical Center for treatment of what’s believed to be a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Police say one person was brought in for questioning and then released.

The Pike County Sheriff’s Office and the Pike County District Attorney’s Office are assisting with the investigation.
