Cold Sunday night; Mainly dry, warm days, cool nights this week
Sunday was a partly cloudy and mild day, with high temperatures in the mid 60s northwest to low 70s southeast. Our area was mainly dry, with rain and even a few storms forming mainly to our east in Georgia during the afternoon. A front moved to our east during the late afternoon, with winds turning northwest behind it. Sunday night looks clear and cold with lows in the mid 30s to around 40°.
Monday looks sunny and dry with high temperatures in the 60s to around 70°. Monday night looks clear and cool with lows in the low 40s. Afternoon temperatures look warmer for the rest of the week, with highs in the mid 70s Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs range from the mid to upper 70s Thursday and Friday. Meanwhile, lows fall into the 40s through at least Thursday night.
The rest of the week also looks mainly dry with lots of sunshine through Thursday. Clouds may increase a bit Friday. Rain appears possible next weekend as a cold front approaches the southeast. Sunday may feature the better chance for at least scattered showers. The front may sweep through and southeast of our area by the end of the weekend. As a result, next week may begin sunny and dry with cooler temperatures.
