Central Alabama Fair underway this week in Selma

The 69th Annual Central Alabama Fair kicked off tonight at Lion’s Fair Park in Selma.

The midway has over two dozen rides — for kids of all ages.

New additions to this year’s fair include a circus side show and a reptile exhibit in the petting zoo.

There are plenty of games — and all your favorite fair foods.

And this year organizers have added a new twist — to an old favorite.

“Central Alabama Fair here we have the Cozy Dawg — the infamous Cozy Dawg. Everybody knows about the Cozy Dawg,” said Fair Manager Russell Haskell.

“So, this year we did a little something different. Put a twist on it. And we’ve got the Conecuh Sausage Cozy Dawg. So, it’s got the old Cozy Dawg recipe that we’ve had it for years. Now we’re going to add the Conecuh Sausage.”

The Central Alabama Fair is sponsored by the Selma Lion’s Club.

It runs through Saturday, November 8th.
