Sunshine Thursday; More clouds, some rain Friday, this weekend

Wednesday was another mainly sunny day across central Alabama. Temperatures were warmer during the afternoon than Monday and Tuesday, with highs in the upper 70s for most. Wednesday night looks mostly clear and cool, with lows in the mid to upper 40s. Thursday looks mainly sunny and even warmer, with highs in the low 80s.

Clouds increase Friday, with isolated to widely scattered showers, perhaps thunder possible late in the day. However, Friday still looks like a very warm day, with high temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s. A few showers or storms may linger into Friday night. Additional showers or storms appear possible Saturday and Sunday. However, the weekend looks far from a washout.

Otherwise, Saturday looks warm with high temperatures in the low 80s. However, Sunday looks cooler as a strong cold front pushes through Alabama. Sunday night looks cold, with lows in the 30s. Temperatures may remain shy of 60° Monday afternoon despite abundant sunshine. Monday night could be our first freeze of the fall/winter, with low temperature in the low 30s. The rest of the week looks mainly sunny and dry with gradually warming temperatures.
