How to find ABC 32 during ongoing dispute between YouTube TV, Disney

If you’re a YouTube TV subscriber, you’re still waiting, just like we are, to find out when ABC 32 will return to the streaming service.
That’s especially true because we have another big Saturday of college football coming up.
What to do
We want to remind you that you can get ABC 32 for free, just by using a TV antenna. Some TVs have the antenna built in, others will need you to attach one that you can buy in a store or online.
If you’re shopping for an antenna, you’ll want to find one that includes an amplifier, so that your signal is boosted.
The ABC 32 transmitter is between Montgomery and Selma, so keep that in mind when you make your antenna adjustments.
Change your input on your TV remote so that you are off of YouTube TV and can look for over-the-air signals. You will likely have to choose this from a menu on your screen.
Finally, you’ll need to use your TV remote to scan for on-air channels. You may need to make small adjustments to your antenna and rescan — those small adjustments can make a big difference in what you pick up.
Why is this happening?
As we’ve said, the reason that ABC 32 and other ABC stations nationwide have been pulled off of YouTube TV is due to ongoing negotiations between that company and Disney, which owns ABC.
We are just as frustrated as you are that ABC 32 isn’t on YouTube TV until these contract negotiations can be worked out.
Remember, that while you can still get ABC 32, other channels such as ESPN, SEC Network and other Disney properties aren’t available by antenna.
This situation doesn’t involve other streaming services, cable to satellite.
We will keep you updated.
