Murder investigation underway following Sunday shooting in Selma

A Selma woman is dead following a shooting Sunday night in Selma in the area of Eugene Avenue and F.D. Reese Street.

Chief Kenta Fulford says officers dispatched to the scene — discovered a vehicle with a gunshot victim on its way to the hospital.

The victim was identified as 34 year old Jakeisha Moore.

Moore died as a result of her injuries and a murder investigation is now underway.
