A Dadeville woman has been arrested after investigators say they rescued 92 cats which weren’t receiving adequate care.

Tallapoosa County Sheriff Jimmy Abbett says 58-year-old Lisa Christine Miller has been charged with cruelty to animals.

This week, deputies were called to Centerport Road in Dadeville on a report of abandoned animals. They say they found the cats, which were not being properly cared for, with no litter boxes, no food and no water. They say the cats had been left outdoors in the freezing temperatures.

New Hope Rescue was contacted and coordinated with Angie Dog House in Foley, which rescued the 92 cats and took them to their facility in Foley.
