Auburn’s Faulk Brothers Give Away 100+ Turkeys in Highland Home
HIGHLAND HOME, Ala. (WAKA) — With Auburn University on a bye week, brothers Keldric and J.J. Faulk spent their Saturday giving back to their hometown, ensuring local families will have a Thanksgiving meal this year.
The Auburn football players hosted a turkey drive in Highland Home, where cars lined up to receive holiday meal packages. Each family received a turkey along with traditional fixings, including dressing, corn, macaroni and cheese, gravy and brownies.
“We’re just doing a little turkey drive to come back to our hometown and help everybody out,” J.J. Faulk said. “Just in case anyone is less fortunate, we’re going to come provide for them.”
Keldric Faulk said returning home to serve the community felt especially meaningful.
“You know, there’s really not a lot going around, and there’s a lot going on in the community as it is,” he said. “So it was important for us to come back and give back to everybody out here and to a community that gave so much to us.”
The brothers handed out more than 100 turkeys.
