Action 8’s Magical Christmas Toy Drive: Sophie Martin from Blue Cross Blue Shied of Alabama
For a dozen years, Action 8 has presented our Magical Christmas Toy Drive to benefit the Salvation Army of Montgomery. One of our partners is Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama.
From now through December 10, we are collecting new, unwrapped toys that will be distributed to registered families right here in our area.
Our Ellis Eskew spoke with Sophie Martin of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama to find out why they decided to get involved in the Magical Christmas Toy Drive this year for the very first time.
“One of our corporate values at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama is to give back to the community,” she said. “So we really do everything we can to be a great corporate citizen and we can’t think of a better opportunity than to support WAKA and the Salvation Army and their efforts.”
Once again this year, our Toy Vault is at the Shoppes at EastChase, to the left of Books-a-Million. In the weeks to come, that space will be filled with toys, thanks to our viewers and our sponsors.
