Troy man arrested in road rage incident in Florida Panhandle
A Troy man has been arrested on weapons charges after a road rage incident in the Florida Panhandle, according to the Walton County, Florida, Sheriff’s Office.
19-year-old Walker Phillips is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a gun in the commission of a felony.
The sheriff’s office says on Saturday, November 29, they responded to reports of an armed road rage incident on U.S. Highway 98 in Santa Rosa Beach, which is just east of Destin. They said the driver of a pickup truck pointed a gun at another vehicle.

The sheriff’s office said the truck was then found parked at a gas station, where Phillips was arrested.
Investigators say witnesses told them Phillips became angry while trying to pass another vehicle. They say a Glock 43 handgun and a Winchester firearm were found inside the truck.
Phillips was taken to the Walton County Jail.
