Dallas County man struck, killed by car in Lowndes County
A Dallas County man has been killed after being struck by a car in Lowndes County.
Alabama State Troopers say 25-year-old William Atkins of Orrville was walking in the road when he was hit. They identified the driver of the car as 45-year-old Reneca Gregory of Selma.
Atkins was pronounced dead at the scene. Gregory was also hurt and taken to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery for treatment.
The accident happened at around 4:55AM yesterday on U.S. Highway 80, about three miles east of White Hall.
