Man pleads guilty to stabbing mother’s boyfriend in Montgomery

A man has pleaded guilty to stabbing his mother’s boyfriend to death in Montgomery, according to District Attorney Azzie Oliver.

Oliver said Detrayreon White was charged with killing Tony O’Neal, who was from Georgia.

She said on May 12, 2023, White showed up at his mother’s home in the 3200 block of Durham Drive to confront O’Neal. When their argument turned physical, Oliver said White pulled out a knife and stabbed O’Neal at least five times.

She said White will be sentenced by Judge James Anderson in January.
