Sheriff’s Officials: Autauga County Woman Shoots, Kills Intruder
Autauga County Sheriff’s officials say a man is dead after trying to break into a woman’s home overnight.
According to Chief Deputy Joe Sedinger, it happened just after midnight on County Road 81 in the Booth Community. Sedinger says the homeowner shot an 18-year-old man after he tried to force his way into her home, armed with a knife.
Officials say a second man is being interviewed as a person of interest.
Authorities have not released the name of the man or the homeowner.
