WAKA-TV / Action 8 News (CBS/ABC/CW/MeTV) has an immediate opening for a Traffic Coordinator to provide support to the Sales Department in Montgomery, AL! Be part of a high-performance media organization to program and broadcast commercial content for Local and National clients across the River Region in Alabama’s State Capital! This position will report directly to the Traffic Manager.

What you’ll accomplish as a Traffic Coordinator (Essential Duties):

  • Multi-task with processing new commercial orders and adjustments to existing
    contracts and daily television logs across four stations
  •  Daily interaction with Local and National television sales professions
  • Cross department collaboration with sales, engineering, master control, etc.
  • Applying traffic instructions to scheduled commercial contracts
  • Assist sales department with various client needs such as reports or material information
  • Any task deemed necessary by management
  • So much more

What you’ll need as a Traffic Coordinator (Preferred Qualifications):

  • High school diploma
  • English language skills
  • Meticulous data-entry skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Knowledge of, and the ability to interpret, sales contracts
  • Ability to comply with deadlines and perform under pressure
  • Proficiency with computers and an ability to learn new software quickly
  • Keen on learning new systems promptly and thoroughly
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be focused and organized
  • Ability to work independently
  • At least 1 year of experience in clerical support or administrative assistance preferred
  • Previous Station traffic experience preferred
  • Previous Wide Orbit experience preferred
  • In-person attendance is required
