Feeling like January this week; Another front, showers Wednesday

Winter cold returned Sunday to central and south Alabama. Morning lows fell into the upper 30s to low 40s. Daytime highs were in the 50s despite sunshine. Winds were brisk throughout the day, with frequent gusts up to 30-35 mph. Winds subside Sunday night, but with a mostly clear sky, temperatures fall into the upper 20s overnight.

Monday looks partly cloudy and dry, but temperatures only rebound into the 50s during the afternoon. Monday night looks mostly clear and cold, with lows in the upper 20s. Temperatures may warm closer to 60° Tuesday and Wednesday. However, another cold front arrives Wednesday, resulting in a few showers late, but also very cold weather Thursday. Temperatures only warm into the 40s Thursday afternoon, and fall into the 20s Thursday night.

Temperatures rebound into the 50s Friday. Highs may be closer to 60° Saturday. However, another cold front arrives Saturday, with a chance for a little rain, and another drop in temperatures for Sunday into MLK Day.
