Montgomery police are investigating a crash that claimed the life of a Pike Road woman.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 11:00 a.m. Wednesday on I-85 near Taylor Road.
Police say they located the driver of one of the vehicles, 46-year-old Chera Robinson Doty, with life-threatening injuries.
Doty was taken to a local hospital where she later died from her injuries on Thursday.
Century Church in Pike Road confirmed to Action 8 News that Doty served as the kids minister since 2021. Her husband, Phillip, is also the youth minister there.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
