Baptist Health opens primary care facility in Pike Road
Baptist Health has opened a primary care facility on Vaughn Road in the town of Pike Road.
A ribbon-cutting was held yesterday.
People can now get treatment at the new clinic, whether its for an unexpected illness or a yearly checkup.
The new clinic offers services for people 18 and older.
“The provision of health care is moving more and more outside the four walls of a hospital, and a hospital is incredibly important, particularly in the moment when you have an acute sort of circumstance there that requires hospitalization. But the vast majority of care we deliver is outside those four walls and in the community. So we’ll continue the strategy of pushing out and getting as close to those people who need the services that we can instead of having to travel to us,” Baptist Health CEO Russell Tyner told Action 8 News.
