Salvation Army of Montgomery celebrates new permanent home

After nearly 4 years without a permanent home, the Salvation Army of Montgomery completed all of their renovations and held a ribbon cutting celebration for their new facility.

Located on Carter Hill Road, the new headquarters contains a food pantry, clothing closet, and worship center. The facility offers a variety of opportunities for people of all ages in the River Region.

At the celebration, Salvation Army of Montgomery Captain Thomas Johnson announced plans for a new homeless shelter that will be able to house and feed 75 people. Captain Johnson stated that the new shelter will only be possible with the help of the community and city leaders.

You can donate on the Salvation Army of Montgomery’s website to help fund the building and services for the homeless shelter.
