Sunday’s severe risk over, next up, arctic air arrives Sunday night

Rain ends late Sunday as a strong cold front pushes through our area. Temperatures fall into the low 30s or perhaps 20s Sunday night, with lower wind chill values due to brisk northwest winds. Afternoon high temperatures only range from the 30s to low 40s Monday despite sunshine. Meanwhile, wind chills remain in the upper 20s to low 30s. Monday night looks very cold, with lows in the 10s to low 20s.

The rest of our final week of January remains cold. Temperatures only warm into the 40s despite sunshine Tuesday. Tuesday night lows fall to near 20°. High temperatures remain in the 40s to around 50° for the rest of the week, with lows in the 20s to around 30° each night. Meanwhile, the rest of the week looks mainly dry, though clouds likely increase Wednesday through Friday.
