Greenville Police Warning Residents to take Precaution at Drive-Through Windows

Greenville Police are urging residents to take precautions when paying at fast food drive throughs following the detection of fraudulent activity in the city.
Experiencing fraud is an occurrence that could happen to anyone even if you are careful with your transactions. Something as simple as handing over your debit card at the drive through window, something so simple that most of us do it weekly  if not even daily, could lead to a thief taking your personal information and ultimately stealing funds.
As some Greenville residents learned taking precautions such as watching your card’s transaction at the window may not be enough to avoid fraud.
One sure fire way to avoid fraudulent bank charges is to use cash– if cash isn’t an option your next best choice is a well secured credit card.
No specific fast food restaurants are named as a fraud threat. Greenville police say arrests have been made and restaurant management have implemented procedures to prevent further fraud occurrences.
