Experts Determine Price of Childhood Obesity
The price of childhood obesity is about  $19,000 a child.Â
That’s according to Duke researchers who compared lifetime medical costs of overweight children to normal weight children.
About one in five children in the U.S. is obese and is at risk of developing heart disease, type 2 diabetes and certain cancers.
