I-85 reopens after fallen power lines; some ramps remain closed
The City of Montgomery says both sides of I-85 near Exit 6 are now open after power lines fell this afternoon during severe weather.
While the interstate is back open, officials say the Northbound off-ramp from the interstate to Eastern Boulevard is still closed, as well as the on-ramps from Eastern Boulevard to the interstate on both northbound and southbound.
Public safety officials stressed that traffic closures remain in place to protect motorists, emergency responders, and utility crews.
