Montgomery man shot and killed near downtown

A man has been shot and killed near downtown Montgomery.

Police say 32-year-old Trey Jiles of Montgomery was found dead of a gunshot wound at around 3:25AM Saturday, January 24. They found him in an area of St. James Street, near Seay Street.

Jiles was pronounced dead at the scene.

A homicide investigation has been launched into his death.
