Sunshine Wednesday, clouds increase Thursday, showers Friday

Wednesday morning was less cold than Monday and Tuesday mornings in at least some locations. Some clouds filled the sky late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, preventing temperatures from falling as far. Montgomery, for example, only fell into the upper 20s. However, sunshine was abundant once more by midday Wednesday. The sky remains mainly sunny Wednesday afternoon, with high temperatures near 50°.

Wednesday night looks mainly clear and cold, with lows in the mid 20s. Clouds increase Thursday, with a mostly cloudy sky at times. Temperatures warm into the low 50s during the afternoon. Thursday night lows fall to around 30°. Friday looks mainly cloudy with isolated showers around throughout the day. Another blast of bitterly cold arctic air arrives Friday night. High temperatures may only be in the 30s Saturday.

However, strong north/northwest winds result in wind chill values in the 20s. Temperatures fall into the 10s Saturday night, with single-digit wind chill values possible early Sunday morning. Temperatures only warm into the 30s to low 40s Sunday afternoon. Sunday night lows fall into the low to mid 20s.
