We’re In The Midst Of A Brief Cold Snap
We’re in the midst of a cold snap and it’s going to be a brief one. Tonight will be the coldest with temps will fall below freezing. A warming trend will quickly kick in and we’re in the 70s for highs the remainder of the week.
In the meantime, we’re expecting a clear sky with temps dropping into the mid to upper 20s overnight.  Abundant sunshine is overhead and temps climb into the upper 50s Tuesday afternoon. The warming really gets underway Wednesday. We should see 70s for highs and lows in 50s Wednesday night into early Thursday.  A frontal system will move into the area Thursday. This boundary will help bring rain and t-storms through the state. Some of the rain activity could linger into early Friday.
High pressure will return just in time for the upcoming weekend. This system will provide us more sunshine and mild temps. High temps will be in the 70s and lows in the 40s both Saturday and Sunday.  Looks like the spring-like warm will continue well into that following workweek.
