Alabama News Network wants you to meet our new sports director, Vince Lennon. Vince has 25 years of TV experience and worked in Montgomery television in the 1990s.

Vince was sports director at ABC Montgomery from 1994 to 1998, which was early in his career. Since then, Vince has worked in several larger markets. He comes to us from WRCB in Chattanooga, where he was a sports anchor/reporter. He’s also been Executive Producer for Macon, Georgia’s dual FOX/ABC affiliate WGXA, where he was responsible for all evening and late newscasts content and production.
He also served for 8 years as a segment producer and show writer for CNN and Headline News, working with the likes of Kyra Phillips, Rick Sanchez and Robin Meade. In addition, he’s worked in Dallas and in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Vince originally hails from the Tampa/St.Petersburg area in Florida.
Since 2000, he’s been happily married to his lovely wife and partner in life Margie, who is also a longtime veteran of the media industry. The happy couple have one son; Nick, who is about to enter college.
When not covering the massive sports landscape of Central Alabama, Vince has a number of varied interests, from wetting a line fishing to tinkering with vintage Volkswagens.
If you want to drop him a line, complaint, suggestion or story idea, please do so at vlennon@waka.com or on his Facebook page or Twitter account.
Welcome, Vince Lennon!
