Milder Tuesday, rain returns late Thursday, pleasant this weekend
Tuesday morning was frigid, with low temperatures in the low 20s. Montgomery’s low temperature was 21°, more than 20 degrees below the normal February 24th low of 43°. However, with sunshine and just some high-level fair weather clouds, Tuesday turns into a milder day, with high temperatures in the 50s, approaching 60° in some locations. Tuesday night looks mostly clear and still somewhat cold, but low temperatures remain above freezing.
Wednesday looks partly cloudy, dry, and warmer with high temperatures near 70°. Rain returns Thursday, though Tuesday’s model runs suggest a slower arrival time of a cold front, and more widespread rain and some thunder. It looks like most of the showers/storms associated with the cold front move through our area Thursday night into early Friday morning.
Temperatures remain fairly warm even after the front moves through, with high temperatures near 70° Friday. It still looks like dry weather with sunshine sets up for us behind the front. High temperatures range from the low to mid 70s Saturday and Sunday, with lows in the upper 40s to around 50° each night. Our first week of March begins dry and warm, though stray showers may return Wednesday or Thursday.
