Arkansas man arrested on narcotics charges in Troy
An Arkansas man is in custody on narcotics charges in Troy.
Troy Police Chief Danny Barron tells Action 8 News that around 1:00 p.m. Monday, officers responded to the 700 block of County Road 2224 after receiving a report of a suspicious person reportedly using narcotics.
Once they arrived, they found 47-year-old Jason Carlyle Smith, of North Little Rock, in possession of a large quantity of methamphetamine, personal use marijuana and items commonly used to smoke illegal narcotics.
Smith has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, 2nd degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was eventually transported to the Pike County Jail on a $27,000.
