Woman injured in Montgomery house fire
The Montgomery Fire/Rescue Department says a woman has been injured in a house fire.
At about 3:30PM today, firefighters responded to a fire in the 400 block of Godfrey Street, which is just off Day Street. Upon arrival, they saw flames and declared a working fire.
The occupant, a 58-year-old woman, was found seated across the street. A rescue crew gave her care for minor injuries. She was taken to a hospital for further evaluation.
Firefighters conducted a rapid interior attack, bringing the fire under control. Primary and secondary searches confirmed no additional occupants. No injuries to personnel were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Montgomery Bureau of Investigation.
