Female body found in Autauga County creek
The Autauga County Sheriff’s Office is trying to identify the body of a female who was found in Mulberry Creek.
Sheriff Mark Harrell says the body was discovered at around 3:15 this afternoon by Norfolk Southern Railroad workers. He said the race of the female and the cause of death aren’t known.
The creek is on the Autauga/Dallas County line. The sheriff said the body could have traveled from somewhere in Dallas, Autauga or even Chilton counties.
Sheriff Harrell says the case is being considered a death investigation, pending autopsy results and the identification of the female.
