Three people shot in Montgomery; one dies of injuries

Montgomery police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and two others injured.

Montgomery police Lt. Scott Dunn told Action 8 News that the shooting happened at around 12:35 this morning in the 3400 block of South Water Mill Road, which is off Calmar Drive not far from Eastern Boulevard.

Dunn said that when officers arrived, all three victims had already left the scene. He said a short time later, one man and two women showed up at a hospital. He said one woman was pronounced dead at the hospital, while the other two had injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

Dunn says a preliminary investigation indicates the shooting stemmed from a domestic-related altercation. No other information has been released.
