5 of the 6 suspects in the Dadeville mass shooting plead guilty

Five of the suspects in the Dadeville mass shooting pled guilty to three counts of reckless murder in court Friday.

In addition, 22-year-old Willie Brown, 23-year-old Wilson Hill, Jr., 20-year-old Tyreese McCullough, 19-year-old Travis McCullough and 18-year-old Sherman Peters pled guilty to 24 counts of 1st degree assault and one count of 3rd degree assault.

As part of the plea agreement, each defendant will serve five years in prison for the murder charges and 15 years of supervised probation. They’ll get credit for time served.

A sixth suspect received youthful offender status.

The shooting happened on Saturday night, April 15, 2023. Shots were fired at a girl’s Sweet 16 birthday party at the Mahogany Masterpiece dance studio.

Four young people were killed and 32 others were injured. Those killed were 19-year-old Marsiah Emmanuel Collins, 18-year-old Philstavious Dowdell, 23-year-old Corbin Dahmontrey Holston and 17-year-old Shaunkivia Nicole Smith.
