Montgomery pastor Rev. Cromwell Handy dies
Rev. Cromwell Handy, a well-known pastor in Montgomery and leader at Alabama State University, has died.
ASU announced his death on Facebook this morning, saying, “His impact on our hornet family will never be forgotten.” Handy served as Director of Alumni Relations. He was an ASU graduate.
In addition, he served as pastor of Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church from 2013 to 2022. This is the same church where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., served as pastor from 1954-1960.
Funeral arrangements haven’t yet been announced.
