Four killed in single-car crash in Pike County

PIKE COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – Alabama State Troopers say four people were killed when a driver trying to elude a trooper crashed his car into a tree.

Investigators say just before midnight last night, 27-year-old Tykevious D. Russaw of Eufaula was driving the car with three passengers inside when he crashed on Pike County Road 6628 near Pike County Road 6627, about nine miles east of Banks.

Investigators say Russaw wasn’t using a seat belt and was thrown from the wreckage and died.

They say two other passengers were also not using seat belts and were also thrown out of the car and killed. They were 27-year-old Robert D. Hall of Clayton and a 17-year-old juvenile.

Another passenger, 24-year-old Quamay Richardson of Clayton wasn’t thrown out of the car but was also killed.
