Montgomery police make capital murder arrest following fatal shooting

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery police have made an arrest following a fatal shooting on West South Boulevard.

Montgomery police Lt. Tina McGriff told Action 8 News that the shooting happened Friday, April 10, just after 12:30PM in the 1000 block of West South Boulevard, which is near Interstate 65.

She said officers found a man with life-threatening injuries, who was taken to a hospital where he died. His name hasn’t been released.

McGriff said a suspect, identified as Adrian Jackson, has been charged with capital murder in the fatal shooting and is being held at the Montgomery County Detention Facility.

No other information has been released.
