Mainly dry and warm through Friday, a chance for rain this weekend

Wednesday afternoon remains partly to mostly sunny and warm with high temperatures in the mid 80s. Temperatures cool into the upper 50s to low 60s Wednesday night. Some fog may form, especially across south-central Alabama early Thursday morning. Thursday becomes a partly to mostly sunny day with high temperatures in the mid 80s. A stray shower or two may try to form during the afternoon, but the vast majority of our area remains dry.

Friday also looks partly to mostly sunny with high temperatures approaching 90°. We may finally have a chance for rain this weekend. However, the weekend begins warm with a partly cloudy sky Saturday. High temperatures range from the mid to upper 80s. A cold front arrives Saturday night. Isolated to widely scattered showers may move through central and south Alabama along the front through Sunday morning.
