A free health fair has been held at the Sheridan Heights Community Center in Montgomery.

Today’s health fair offered several services designed to support the well-being of people in the north part of the city.

People at the fair could get free health screenings, wellness information, connections to other services and health-focused activities.

The community center was reopened two years ago after being renovated. It’s the first time the center has offered a health fair.

“I just came out to find out what’s going on,” Elizabeth Thomas said. “I think it’s very important because we are seniors. As we age, different things start to happen and the more familiar you are with your health issues, you know that’s important.”

The community center offers a senior program and after-school program among its events and activities.

The center, located at 3501 Faro Drive, is open from 8AM until 8PM.
