Man Killed in Chilton County after Reportedly Being Shot by Officers

An investigation is underway after a Clanton police officer and a Chilton County deputy fired their guns, killing a man.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Bureau of Investigation announced the probe after the fatal shooting of Michael Lamar Robinson at a home in Chilton County on Saturday.

Chilton County Chief Assistant District Attorney C.J. Robinson says there is video of the incident, but he couldn’t yet release any other details.

Robinson would not confirm whether the man shot was the homeowner.

A news conference is scheduled for Wednesday morning at the courthouse with the Chilton County District Attorney.
