Aubie the Tiger has breakfast with fans at Cracker Barrel in Opelika
OPELIKA, Ala. (WAKA) – Aubie the Tiger made his way from Auburn to Opelika to surprise some Tiger fans on Sunday.
Breakfast with Aubie brought many Auburn fans to the Cracker Barrel in Opelika. Aubie had a meet and greet with families and took pictures with all of them.
He went from table to table interacting with fans and kids and even served some patrons their food. Aubie was dancing all around the restaurant and coloring with kids, giving many Auburn fans a memory they’ll always cherish.
With dozens of Tiger fans there, Action 8 talked with some of them about their expectations for Auburn in 2026, after their spring football game this past Saturday.
“We want to win all the games, and we want to beat Bama too. The fans are hyped about Byrum Brown. At the Tiger Walk yesterday, everybody was going crazy when he came down. We’re hyped, and we think some good things are coming our way,” said Auburn fan, Annilee Huffstutler.
“I thought the team looked good on both sides of the ball to a point, but it’s early in the year, and I realize that they have some work to do. It did look like we have the potential to have a good team this year. Being an Auburn fan, I’d like to see them go win all 12 games, but, you know, I’ll be real happy with 10,” said Tiger fan, Tim Pollard.
I think that you’ll find that most Auburn fans are 100% in no matter who’s coaching and what’s happening, we just want to win. I mean, look back at what Indiana did last year out of the blue, so I don’t see any reason why Golesh may not be able to put something together, not necessarily first year, but who knows, let’s wait and see,” said Jason Hoover, Auburn fan.
It may be the offseason for the football team, but with the spring game this past weekend, and Aubie making an appearance in Opelika, Auburn fans are ready for football season.
