Suspect arrested in Montgomery homicide in March
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Montgomery police have made an arrest in a homicide that happened last month.
It happened around 12:40 a.m. on Monday, March 23 at a gas station in the 3400 block of McGehee Road.
Court records say 22-year-old Kevarius Jones intentionally caused the death of 32-year-old Deanthony Scott by fatally shooting him with an AR-15 inside the Petro Plus gas station. The incident was captured on video surveillance inside the gas station.
Scott was pronounced dead on the scene.
This was Montgomery’s 7th homicide of the year.
