Big Brothers Big Sisters of Montgomery to hold annual Bowl for Kids’ Sale fundraiser

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Montgomery is getting ready for its annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraiser.

The fundraiser will take place on Friday, May 2 at 3:00 p.m. at Bowlero on Eastern Boulevard.

Officials say the fun, family-friendly event will bring together local businesses, community leaders, schools, and families to raise critical funds for youth mentoring programs across the River Region.

Funds raised through the event will directly support mentoring programs such as the High School Bigs Program, Community-Based Mentoring, and the expansion of the Beyond School Walls initiative, which connects students with caring adult mentors who provide guidance, encouragement, and exposure to career and educational opportunities.

Action 8’s Estee Morrison sat down with director, TaWanna Brooks, and board member, Kimberly Parker, to learn more about this year’s event. You can watch that interview above.
