Thursday morning was somewhat gloomy with an overcast sky, but not much rain. The sky remains mainly cloudy Thursday afternoon with isolated to scattered showers mainly south of highway 80 and interstate 85. Temperatures remain cooler, with highs in the 70s to perhaps 80°. Thursday night remains mainly cloudy with more showers, still mainly south, and low temperatures in the mid to upper 50s.
The sky also remains mainly cloudy Friday. Rain coverage remains isolated Friday morning, but rain becomes widespread Friday afternoon and evening. Temperatures only warm into the 60s to 70°. Rain continues Friday night, but likely departs somewhat early Saturday morning. Clouds gradually clear Saturday afternoon, though even with some sunshine late, temperatures only warm into the low to mid 70s.
Saturday night lows fall into the 40s. Sunday looks like a pleasant spring day, with high temperatures in the 70s and a mostly sunny sky. Sunday night lows may fall into the 40s again, or at least low 50s. Temperatures trend warmer next week, though our area likely remains dry with a partly to mostly sunny sky Monday and Tuesday. Models show another front bringing some rain and perhaps thunder to Alabama Wednesday into Thursday.
