CrimeStoppers increases reward in hopes of solving Montgomery cold case murder
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – CrimeStoppers is doubling the reward it’s offering in the hopes that someone will come forward with information to help police solve a cold case murder.
CrimeStoppers is now offering a reward of $5,000 to solve the killing of Jonvonte Goode. As Action 8 News reported, the original reward of $2,500 was announced in 2022.
Police say on January 30, 2020, at about 5PM, they and fire medics responded to the 1900 block of Hilldale Drive after reports of a shooting. On the scene, officers found 22-year-old Jonvonte Goode of Montgomery suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Investigators say they have video surveillance and photos from Gibbs Village showing a vehicle of interest.
