Montgomery Bicycle Club to encourage cyclists to hit the road in May
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – As the weather is steadily increase, it’s a good time to get on your bicycle.
May is National Bike Month and all month long, there are several events in the Capital City to get you motivated to get on your bike.
On May 9, Montgomery Whitewater is hosting We Love Bikes Day and MBC Bike Rodeo. The event runs from noon until 4:00 p.m.
Then on May 15, it is National Bike to Work Day. From 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. the Montgomery Bicycle Club will be at the Alabama Capitol Steps encouraging people to utilize their bikes versus cars.
On May 20, members of the Montgomery Bicycle Club will join others nationwide to observe the “Ride of Silence” to remember cyclists who have been injured or killed while on the road.
